The OTTER is pleased to announce Casey Searle and her Casey’s Catchers business from Georgina Island as the 2017-18 Hugh Big Canoe Youth Business Award winner.  Casey makes and sells a variety of beautiful dream catchers. Casey is expanding her small home business to include online and retail sales. Casey will be using her award to purchase stock and pay for costs associated with website development and hosting.  She recently had her first international sale.  We look forward to Casey showcasing her business and products at years 2017-18 AGM.  Casey also agreed to assist in mentoring other youth.  Check out caseyscatchers.com for Casey’s products.

The Hugh Big Canoe Youth Entrepreneurship Award was founded in the memory and spirit of Buzzy Big Canoe.  Buzzy firmly believed youth were our future and that is was important to support them in business from an early age.   Applications and program details can be found under the link to Employment and Training Programs.
