Our First Nation manages a number of businesses either
independently or as part of a partnership. Our own businesses
include leasing store and office spaces and running two bingo
game halls in the Toronto area. One of our partnerships is with
POI Business Interiors of Markham, Ontario, a professional office
interiors company. Together, we own and run Rama Office
Interiors (ROI).
Chippewas of Rama First Nation has served on the National
Indigenous Economic Development board. This board brings
together First Nations, Inuit, and Métis business leaders
to give advice to the federal government to help increase
the involvement of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people in
Canada’s economy.
