Solar Farm
In 2009, we began to work on a plan to develop renewable
energy. Renewable energy is energy that comes from sources
that do not get used up, such as the Sun or wind.
Our plan was to develop a solar energy farm to capture energy
from the Sun. In 2013, we started operations at the very first
solar farm to be 100 percent owned by a First Nation.
We are proud to say that the solar farm has met or gone beyond
the industry standards. We expect that it will become an
important source of revenue to our community.
