Child Care
Today, parents in our community are able to send their children
to a licensed Child Care Centre on the island so that they
can go to work either on the island or off the island in the
nearby towns.
The Child Care Centre looks like any other child care centre in
towns or cities, except that it is located in a spot with a view
of Lake Simcoe and in an area that is quiet and serene. It is in a
house that has been renovated with a large kitchen to prepare
great-tasting food. The addition has divided areas that function
as activity and rest areas.
We are working toward the construction of a new facility and
have developed detailed plans that will see one building house
both the Child Care Centre and the Elementary School, and
remain centrally located within the community.
