We make good use of the land by using most of the island and some of the
waterfront as places for teaching physical education, science, and many
                  other subjects.

Currently, our school does not have a gym, music room, or
science rooms. Our community is working to see that the new
                                                  building plan includes these rooms.

                                                  Elementary: Grades 6–8

In Grade 6, our students must move into the public school
system. Most of our children attend Morning Glory Public School
for Grades 6–8, as the First Nation provides transportation to
                                                  and from school.

Sometimes, our children think they are lucky because if weather
conditions such as high winds come up, ice travel isn’t safe. At
those times, they get to stay home. At other times, they are
called home to the island from school early if conditions are
We also have a school garden. predicted to be too severe for safe ice road travel.
