Elementary
Mnjikaning Kendaaswin Elementary School provides education
for students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. MKES has bright,
colourful open classrooms, including a large area for drama and
music and a room for teaching the Anishinaabe language and
culture. The playground outside is large and spacious. Also,
there is an after-school program for up to 25 six- to
nine-year-old children, located in the classrooms at the
Mnjikaning Kendaaswin Elementary School.
Some of our students attend school in the nearby city of Orillia.
They travel on a bus operated by the First Nation.
