                                                  Today, our homes are like those found elsewhere in southern
                                                  Ontario. Most of our homes have modern appliances such as
                                                  microwaves, washers, dryers, and freezers. We also have tablets,
                                                  cellphones, and laptop computers.

                                                  Currently, the Beausoleil Housing department owns 86
                                                  homes that are rented to members of our First Nation. We
                                                  also have a 6-plex and are involved with mortgages. In 2018,
                                                  we constructed 11 new units in townhomes and apartments,
                                                  and seven new houses. In addition, there are approximately
                                                  150 privately owned homes on lands for which members hold a
                                                  Certificate of Possession.
