Location and Territory
Our community, Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation,
is formally registered by Crown–Indigenous Relations and
Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC, a federal government
department) as Scugog Indian Reserve #34. We are located on
the north end of Scugog Island in Lake Scugog in south-central
Ontario. We are south of Orillia, north of Oshawa, and east of
Port Perry off Highway 7A. We are 42 kilometres southwest
of Peterborough.
