These suggestions are only a guideline for practising circle norms.
Use your knowledge of your students’ backgrounds, interests, and
readiness when using questions.
Low-Risk Sentence Starters for Sharing Circles
Ask participants to complete one of these sentence starters. These are
non-threatening warm-ups for practising how to be in a circle.

Medium-Risk Questions for Sharing Circles
Have students answer one of these questions when they are getting
comfortable with how the sharing circle works.

3. What is something that you are looking forward to?
4. What is one thing that helps you to learn?
5. What do you do that gives you joy?
6. How do you know when you are getting stressed?
7. Who do you respect, and why?
8. What makes you laugh?

10. Who is someone in the media who you admire? Why?
