Gatherings
We hold gatherings that involve many in the community
throughout the year. Three of our celebrations are the
Halloween party, Christmas party, and powwow. In 2018, we
brought back the Easter Party. After not being run for many
years, it was clear that everyone had missed it. We had over
300 people in attendance! It is a great way to shake off the
winter, see a lot of smiling faces, and make memories for the
youth and adults of our community.
One of our largest community events is on National Indigenous
Peoples Day, which celebrates us as a proud, progressive
community. Many different departments and volunteers work
together to make it a success. The community spirit is alive
and well!
