The Chippewas of Rama First Nation is governed by one Chief
Snache, Councillor Ron
Douglas, 2018 and six Councillors. Chippewas of Rama First Nation members
who run for the elected position of councillor may run for Chief,
no matter where they live. All members of the First Nation over
the age of 18 may vote, even if they live elsewhere. There are
different viewpoints on whether people who don’t live in the
community should be able to vote.
